I have started my Fashion Week dressed up like a weirdo. The pantone institute said that “BALLET Slipper” pink and “Marina blue” are some of the IT colours this season so i’ve put them together and designed this deux-piece and turban specially for Milano Fashion Week.
Truth is i had a little bit of trouble with my jacket’s pockets as they kept showing up in the pictures. Meanwhile i have secured this part for me and sewed them properly.
We’ve started my fashion week with 4 shows in a row. We were basically running from show to show with Iuliana. And the easiest way was to take the metro, as they were happening in the rush hours 9-12.
The fashion week started this year with Grinko “Rage Rave collection” . It was as if the 90’s were back with a lot of eastern russian influences, especially in the looks of the boys. It made me remember about my childhood spent in Chisinau. Also they had a lot of russian inscriptions on garments. Of course my fav. part was when silk skirts, and shinny garments were welcomed on the catwalk.
Here are some of the IT looks you could easily wear next summer at you summer festivals & parties:
All the shots belong to Iuliana Cristina Popescu. She actually was lucky enough to stay in the first row and take all this snaps:
the 90’s russian look that is still very common in the ex Soviet countries, i don’t like this…i just want you to see that it is consiered back in fashion after 2 decades:
Just a definition of what is written on the t-shirt:
жесть • (žestʹ) (жесть)
Used in surprise, or denoting something horrific.
“Он такие трюки на доске вытворяет! Просто жесть!”
He gets up such tricks on the board! Wow!
and now the looks i loved even if they don’t necessarily represent my style:
and this is something i would definitely wear:
and then it was followed by Atsushi Nakashima’s new collection:
More pictures from the shows are available on IULIANA’s site: IN THE DIM LIGHT.
